simon_blackwell1
Awful news. I live in East London and am much more concerned about kids breaking in and nicking the chickens than I am about foxes. The kids round here would do it just to have a ready supply of eggs to throw around, now the shops have stopped selling them to children. Mayo
Hi donnacaward, So sorry to hear your sad story ; let's hope the separation is only temporary. A few nights ago I woke in the early hours, worried about my rescue muscovy duckling's safety when he starts to fly in a few weeks time, and what would happen if he got lost. I had what is either a very silly idea or a very clever one . . . Has anyone ever heard of poultry being micro-chipped. Well-wishers would be able to contact me so I could arrange his safe return, and notices up on the garden gate, saying that m-chips were in place, might help to serve as a deterrent to the vile perpetrators of such petty crimes. Well guys, which am I : genius or cretin ?? (Only people who don't know me can reply - all the rest have been sure of their answer for years !!) M.
