Ain't Nobody Here Posted September 14, 2009 Share Posted September 14, 2009 You can put some mustard into an egg (either blow the egg or just use the 2 broken halves). They'll peck at it but hopefully object to the taste. You can get some ceramic pot eggs and pop them into the nestbox. They should get a headache if they try to peck them . Last resort, a roll away nestbox (not tried that myself yet but am thinking about it as I think my 3 may have started eating the eggs again . I thought I'd broken the habit but I'm not sure now .) I suppose I would block off the nestbox with a football or flowerpot and put the nestbox on the roosting bars (a bit of a faff but it wouldn't be for too long, hopefully).
