Hi

One of my girls has just had a few days of being broody,we used the wire cage method to stop her and it worked a treat,thank you everyone for all your help with this.

would her being broody put the others off laying?

up until she started all 4 were laying really good eggs everyday,I understand it may take her a while to get back into it but since she went broody one of the others has stopped laying and we have only has 2 eggs a day since tues last week.is this a sign they might be next or is it just they were a bit put off by it all?

Hard to say . I wouldn't have thought her being broody would put the others off laying. I should think it's just a coincidence. There are a lot of us whose hens aren't laying as well as they usually do.
