I think you can get spice from Scats - do a Google for the nearest one to you and call them to check? If you could bear to drive out to Cross in Hand (about 35 mins from Brighton on a good day, past Lewes on the road to Heathfield) there is a good feed/bedding/potions and powders merchant called Windmill Feeds but they don't have Diatom.
