BiBiBi
I've had my 3 chickens for 3 days and 1 of them (Bonnie) seems to have something wrong. The other two have perky behinds - like they all look in the pictures but Bonnie's behind is drooping and she seems depressed -walking about very slowly, very cautious with her feet and not interested in treats. I am worried that something is wrong because I had to pick them up on the first night to put them in the eglu and when I put Bonnie in she flapped about a lot and I am concerned that she broke something Please help! What could be wrong with her? Thanks
Egluntyne
Could just be the stress of the move. It can take them a few days to settle down, especially if there has been any argy bargy. She could be working up to laying a soft egg. That would fit with the symptoms you describe.
BiBiBi
She layed an egg! Small but perfectly formed - 44grams.....I picked it up still warm....maybe it was her first one? She seems better now! Thanks for the re-assurance Egluntyne!
