Cinnamon
Sadly, as I have been unwell for most of the month I have not been able to read this, but would love to hear what others thought of it,so I can add it to my list of ones I must get around to reading, one day! The book to read for October is 'Tell me your secret' by Diedre Purcell
MedusA
How rubbish am I? I recommended this book and then forgot to give feedback. I know this is really a "teenfic" book, but then again so is Harry Potter. I first heard this story serialised on Radio 4, then read the book afterwards. I think it presents an interesting viewpoint on life in a war situation, from the perspective of children on the cusp of adulthood, complete with burgeoning sexuality. Adults hardly feature at all in the narrative. The section when Daisy and Piper are travelling, in hiding, trying to get back to the farm, is particularly atmospheric, though I admit I was mostly moved by the sad reunion with Ding the goat.
