4m x 3m Omlet pen, cube, new auto door still boxed and coop light

I've just popped out to make sure my chickens are OK and tucked up in bed and I noticed what looks like a 'limpet' (about 5 mm in diameter) on CiCi's leg...

 

Does anyone know what this could be?

Is it a different colour? where is it on the leg?

Nope... it's leg coloured. Just above the foot.

 

If you put 'limpet' into google images, it looks just like those... a tiny conical limpet?!

 

It's defo not a loose scale. I was actually checking for scaly leg mites... pretty sure it's not those from the pics I've seen.

Some of my chooks have bumps above the back of their feet, almost like the start of spurs which never grow, as far as I know its perfectly normal, could your limpets be the same sort of thing maybe?

Yep... just googled 'em... It's like the leg on the left!

 

Nothing to worry about or worth keeping an eye on?
