Primrose
I have three chickens and Saffron our Bovan Goldline has just starting laying. We have had four eggs in four days. (2 egg mayonaisse sarnies for school and 2 fried for tea) However the yolk seems very pale. Is this expected from the first few eggs. I am a keen garderner too - any ideas on how to keep them out of my raised beds Thanks Saffron - Bovan Goldline Daisy - Speckled Star Bluebell -
Redwing
Lots of greens will darken the yolks, if they are on woodchips then bung some dandilions/cabbage etc.. in every day, if your run is on grass I expect the yolks will darken in time
Egluntyne
You can protect you plants with netting.
