I've just been out cleaning the girls next box and think I've been a bit heavy handed with the diatom powder!! Will this do any harm to the girls? (one of them got covered in it as well!!

It isn't a good idea to let them breathe in vast amounts. Might be a good idea to let the dust settle before you let them back in the Eglu.

Thanks, they don't normally go back into the coop until bedtime so hopefully it will have all settled by then! oops

And it's not a good idea for you to be breathing it in either. Much as I rate it as a product, I stopped using it as I have asthma and am not keen on risking making it worse. Of course an option is to wear a mask but I don't like that either. Am I contrary or what!!
