Bullying a Broody

Recommended Posts

No, I didn't find this with Blossom as she's top chook anyway, despite her diminutive size...small chook, big attitude :D

Buffie came out of the Bufflings run & made sure she had the first cross word with everyone just in case they planned to have a go at her....stroppy little minx, all is peaceful now though (except Snowdrop & her dislike of every chook smaller or younger than herself :anxious: )

I hope they sort themselves out quickly Debs..had a watch of your webcam this afternoon as you were leaving the run...insistent little birdies aren't they...your side of the fence is so much better than theirs :lol:

Hi, I've had three of mine go broody over the last few months and they always get a negative reaction from the other girls when I remove them from the nest box for some exercise. I assumed they were just letting her know they didn't like the nest box being monopolised!

We have had a lot of inventive egg-laying locations over this time, so they clearly do feel excluded when the broody is in residence (even though they frequently share the nest box with a non broody chum ...)
