We are about to move house and I have read several items about how to travel them in cat boxes etc but how many chickens will fit into the cat box?. They are fully grown Ginger Nut Ranger & Miss Pepperpot otherwise known as cute Henny and bossy escapologist Margo.

Two would fit reasonably comfortably in the cat carrier that I have.

 

How long will the journey be?

I bought a large cat carrier and my four babies currently sleep in there with room to spare (they may only been babies, but are as big as a full grown Gingernut ranger already and they're only 19 weeks ), failing that a normal cat carrier would be fine for a couple of girls

Two hens will fit into a standard cat-carrier easily. Don't forget they go into 'roost' mode (cover it so it's dark) and they will fold themselves up quite small.

 

If you don't think it's big enough, then a cardboard box with ventilation will be fine too. Good luck with the move!
