brambles
ew. Not for hallowe'en either! I looked on the chicken poo links in chicken health, but most are not working. http://www.chat.allotment.org.uk/index.php?topic=17568.0 that is a good link, however. My cocchin had a red bogey string of 'poo' hanging from her knickers and a bit of globby red jelly stuff in her poo today. She's perky and acting as normal. She is a Wernlas girl, so has been vaccinated against the usual stuff, including coccidosis. I think it's because she's 19 weeks old and is getting red face furniture, but can't help being a concerned chicken mummy. It is possible from those chicken health pics that it's also a bit of intestinal shedding - what's all that about? I'll keep a close eye on her, she's not in with the big girls yet, but in separate eglu and free ranging accom with her little friend the legbar. Redwing
The intenstinal shedding is like bits of tomato skin in their poo
brambles
also think I've seen a worm in it, so giving them all a course of flubenvet. What would cause the red jelly? Is it the prep for laying? The rest of the poo looks normal.
brambles
actually, it also looks like the picture with the shed intestinal lining on the web link *boak* I cannot believe that I'm doing this on my day off work - and with some fascination. chicken addict.
