new_minilops
Just a quick one, for bunnys living outside on and around bonfire night... any tips? The problem i have is that i am away saturday night which i imagine is the worst night to be away, they have a bedroom and lots of hay, each other, and a cover over their hutch, which is down the side of the house not at the bottom of the garden. I was watching them last night while fireworks went off and they didn't even flinch... Do most rabbits get scared of fireworks? Any advice greatly appreciated.... Thanks!! franklyrabbit
Hi I'm not sure if it's possible, but could you move them indoors while you're away or would that upset them? I know what you mean about the bunnies not seeming too bothered - I spent a long time outside with them last night talking them through the fireworks and they didn't have their ears pricked up, or move, or flinch. One of the cats however was crazy with fear. The bunnies didn't even take cover in the eglu, just sat at the front of the run. Nevertheless, I will continue to assume that they need my soothing words and will be talking to them again tonight (that said, it's raining so hopefully no popping and fizzing tonight). Evergreens
i have to say that mine couldnt be bothered either , they are in the summerhouse but when i stood in there the ones closeby could be clearly heard. i saved some of their greens and they were contently munching on it
