GGLGirls
Apologies if this question has been asked before but my girl 'Garlic' has started to lay eggs with a cloudy egg white - is this normal? She is the most consistent of layers of my 3 girls, who lays at exactly the same time each day, exactly the same size egg and exactly the same colour - my other two girls vary on each of these. Any thoughts? They FR for a couple of hours each day, eat layers pellets, and the greens from my veggie patch, with treats such as sultanas, grapes or bananas. (but not every day). Kooshie
I believe cloudy whites are normal. Maybe I'm wrong though.
GGLGirls
Thanks for the reply - you are right - I have been looking on the t'internet (dangerous I know) but many postings say that the cloudy raw egg white is due to the presence of carbon dioxide, which has not had time to escape through the shell, and is an indication of a very fresh egg. Thanks.
