wombatally
Can anyone offer any advice, my light sussex who's not in lay yet, came out yesterday and seemed drunk. At first I thought her leg was dislocated or something but it is fine. Her tail is down and she seems wobbly. Her crop is full, healthy weight and appearance. Any ideas? Thanks Alison
Egluntyne
Was her crop empty first thing?
wombatally
Hi Egluntyne, her crop is empty in the morning so not that. She is still walking funny so we are off to the vet today. Thanks!

wombatally
Hi! Sorry for the late reply - lost internet access eek. She's fine now Vet wasn't really sure but he gave her a shot of antibiotics and gave me another to administer a few days later and said to keep her apart from the others. She's right as rain and back with her pals now. What was really odd was that she's never been overly friendly (she isn't in lay yet) but we had quite a wait at the vets and I took the lid off the box to give her some air. I was stroking her and she started purring! Then when she was segregated she started shouting when we went to see her and now she's back in the field she comes over when I go in to feen them. Very odd - I thought she'd hate me as it was her first time off the farm. Thanks for your help though. Alison
