Chucky Mama
DD wants to make a chocolate trifle over Christmas like the ones that you can buy from the supermarket - only better. Does anyone have a recipe/tips. She doesn't want to have any fruit in the bottom. We have seen some recipes that have cherries or berries in. I have a feeling that you put chocolate chip cookies in the base but am not sure.
Rhapsody
I do one every big family dinner by special request- its dead easy. Just layer in a glass bowl.... Sliced chocolate Swiss Roll Ready made chocolate sauce (I buy one in a pouch from Tesco) Chocolate custard (fresh, ready-made from sanisbury's is delish) Whipped cream Top with crumbled Flakes. I normally put clementine or raspberries on top of the swiss roll, but you could leave them out.

I had a trial run and made one using your recipe but substituted the swiss roll as I couldn't get any for chocolate chip cookies and it was lovely. Will be repeating the exercise in a much larger bowl very soon
