bessandra
Happy Christmas to one and all.. I have a Miss Pepperpot, Cheryl, and an ex-batt, Franky, who both have a swollen chest. There are also feathers missing from these areas. I dont think its an impacted crop as it' too low - but I certainly cant be sure I'm not sure what to do but it certainly doesnt look right. I'm not having alot of luck this Christmas, those of you that know me from the duck forum will see last nights post about a limping duck with a view to splinting her leg! Arghhhhh! I'll continue researching the forum for help with the chooks but any help is always very gratefully received, Many thanks ~R~
Egluntyne
How are the crops first thing in the morning? If they are empty, then there is no problem re impaction. You would be very unlucky to have two hens with this problem. Are they rubbing on the roosting bars do you think?
