Mice

 

They've discovered the stores of carrots in the polytunnel and have been digging them up

 

We've covered the remaining carrots back up and left a couple for them to chew on. I think we're going to have to find somewhere else to put them.

 

I'm thinking if we use the large tubtrugs and layer them in there with the dry soil we can move them to an outbuilding where we don't have a mouse problem..........not yet anyway

Oh no! Hope you haven't lost too many carrots Lesley. Try distracting them with a bit of chocolate, they love it Won't they chew through the tubtrugs though

 

The trouble with mice is they are so cute, it's difficult to kill them

 

My grandad's shed always made a funny shuffling noise when you opened the door, it was the mice running away to hide. If you were quick you could see all the little shiny black bead eyes peering at you from behind the tins and tools on the shelves They were feasting on his poultry mash and corn though

 

Edited to add: When I clicked on this thread I thought I was still in 'All Things Nice' and was intrigued as to how you were going to serve mice

That might become an option

 

We will put the tubtrugs in another place where we don't have mice. We'd put some snap traps in but little Tali keeps bursting in while we're trying to keep her out
