Hi All,

with all the rain and snow recently our chicken pen is very very muddy and smelly. We've decided to slab the main pen so its easy to hose down but can anybody suggest something to get rid of the awful smell . We had been using bark chippings but that seems to have been turned to mush!

Stalosan F works wonders . Horse bedding like Easibed or Hemcore is really good for keeping things dry and smell free (as long as you keep it dry).

 

Shop around for Stalosan - the prices vary a bit.

A bit of garden lime will make it smell sweeter.
