FoxFighters
Dear All Sorry to sound like a paranoid newby (I'm not - honest) My went through the whole softee routine the other day, squatting, hunching, looking generally miserable. She laid a softee and was still a bit miserable for the next day or so, but 7 days later she still hasn't laid a 'proper' egg! (one other softee though) I have to give her her due she has continued to lay all winter, between 5-7 eggs a week! She gets loads of oyster grit, and when she first started with her symptoms I gave her Zolcal D. She is perfectly fine in herself now, hasn't had a moult yet and is only just over 1 year old, so I'm hoping she's not coming to the end of things (as it were!) I do probably give them too many treats but have reduced them greatly since this started, though I have always given them the same treats with no problems in the past? Any suggestions? Is this normal and should I just chillax (as my daughter would say!!!) My is totally fine and if anything seems to have increased egg production! I will never be able to figure Chooks out!!!! Chucky Mama
I would cut out the treats for the moment and then only give in small amounts when she is back laying.
