broody silkies!

Recommended Posts

one of my silkies is on/off broody all the time- she doesnt get to the stage where she is nasty and doesnt come out of the cube but now the other one is joining her!

my problem is that between them they are taking up the nest box in the cube- which as i have 5 other girls is causing issues with somewhere to lay! a bit of a queue forms on a regular basis, buut not as orderly as a british queue!

there is other things in the run they could lay in - tubs full of bedding material etc, but they want to use the cube?!

any ideas? dont think its worth trying to snap the silkies out of the broodiness as i think its just going to be what they are like all the time.

thanks x
