Hello to all - I have a very sick chicken at the moment, and am looking for a chicken vet - mine is not very confident - and therefore not very helpful - so am looking for one fairly quickly - none round here seem to be very au fait with the feathered kind!

I know its generalising but a vet in a more rural area may be a good idea, Corsham used to have an excellent vet called Mr Geering but I cant find him on Yell.com for you, maybe try somewhere like Box, they have a vets on the High street (or always used to when I lived there...)

 

You might not find a avian specialist but you will probably find a decent farm vet

Hiya - thanks, will ring them - I have a girl with a really bad impacted and sour crop - am doing all I can with the help of all the lovely people on this site, but I'm just wondering whether she should perhaps have an operation - just want confirmation from the vet really - probably worrying about nothing, but as it's gone on for a while now, thought I'd get someone to check her over to make sure I'm doing everything right...
