Olly Posted February 18, 2010 Share Posted February 18, 2010 Are your hens fairly new? They tend to peck - mainly out of inquisitiveness - when they're younger, but grow out of it. Otherwise, I wonder if they are accustomed to you giving them treats by hand and therefore expecting food, it might be worth using use a bowl (a plastic dog-bowl or similar will do) to put the treats in so they don't associate your hand directly with the food.
