New chooks

Recommended Posts

Hi Steve,Great picture of the chooks (and the lovely Vegas  )

Sorry to hear about your other chooks

Thanks Raina. Its a shame cos they were so tame and had individual quirky personalities.

I must add though that the White Leghorn might have to be renamed to 'Nervous Nerris' cos she's terrified of everything.

Isn't it funny - Bluebelles do nothing for me and I am not overly keen on Speckledies. Horses for courses.

Still go careful Stevie - the fox that got mine chewed, scratched etc through the actual fence itself. So not under, not over but through (at about 2').

I hope it's got splinters in its tongue that goes septic and it dies a very painful death.

You like them as much as i do then?

The fence at back is double skinned. The original fence is on the field side and about 10 years ago i installed the 7ft one on the inside of it and coach bolted them both together. Its also a good quality closeboard fence (individual planks fixed to arris rails) and not cheap panels so would take an incredibly determined fox armed with a chainsaw to get in! All the fencing round my garden is same type-closeboard.I know nothings 100% secure, but we can only do our best.
