dippy bird
My 12 year old niece has just txt me to say that a dog has got into their garden and attacked one of their new little girls ! It has drawn blood and she says it looks sore, but the chicken seems fine in itself. They don't have any gentian violet to put on the wound - is there anything else that they could use? ClaireG
Oh no Flour can help to stop the blood if it is still bleeding. You can use blue food colouring to disguise the redness and stop other girls pecking at it. I'd also tell her to keep a very close eye on her and possibly bring her inside in a cat carrier or cardboard box, as she will probably be suffering from shock. Guest
it needs antispetic applying before anything else as dogs' teeth are full of germs! If they don't have any, do they have citricidal or tea tree oil? here's a list of natural antiseptics http://www.naturaltherapypages.com.au/article/Natural_Antiseptics

dippy bird
Well, I went round to see little Jim (??) last night, and she is in a mess! The dog has done some serious damage to her! My SIL took her to the vets and she couldn't even stitch the poor thing up as there wasn't enough skin to sew-so she has tried to glue the wound together and put her on anti-biotics. I am so angry that a dog has done this. The owner needs there backside kicking for letting it off the lead and allowing it to get into my SILS back garden!! Guest
awwww, poor thing, hope she recovers! Have they given her some metacam for the pain? If not I'd ask the vet for some.
