oscar
One of my girls has lost her feathers around her neck. leaving a bald patch. It has been like it for about a month. Is this normal or is there something wrong? It's not a huge patch just about 2 inches from the top of her neck.. She isn't losing feathers from anywhere else many Thanks
chelsea
I would give her the once over incase she has lice. It may be that she is having a moult or a "mini moult" or she could be being pecked by one of the others . I would keep an eye on them and see if that is happening. LJ's Chooks
If it's under her chin check her grub is not too high... If she can't get her head into the food easily she'll be rubbing the feathers off
cluckynikki
One of mine lost a collar of feathers round her neck in the autumn but they all grew back, so it was a mini moult. Just keep an eye on it to check that there is no redness to indicate feather plucking.
