Chickaboo Posted March 12, 2010 Share Posted March 12, 2010 We lost our dear little Pheebs last week we loved her so much, she was such a character and I often used to put posts on the forum about her antics. She had been suffering with sterile peritonitis for over a year; and she finally died last week in our arms. Daphne is now lost without her, so we want to get her a new friend. We were very keen on an orpington of some discription or a jersey giant. We live in herts and went to Thornes in Letchworth yesterday, but they won't have any available untill August and I don't think Daphne can wait that long. Does anybody know of a breeder/stockist in the herts/beds area? I know of the woodside poultry place in Slip End but I don't think the birds are looked after very well there, and was quite shocked when I saw the state of them. Falkor Posted March 12, 2010 Share Posted March 12, 2010 I got Brandy my Buff Orp from a guy in Sandy, Beds...not sure if he has any stock at the moment but I could find his details if that is what you are after? My other Orps came from near Great Yarmouth and I am assuming you don`t want to travel quite that far. Have you tried the marketplace on here?
