joe14
Afternoon all Not posted for a while so hope everybody is well!! Anyway I've had my 3 gingernut rangers for 2 years now. All is well and egg production is good. I've fenced off a corner of the garden and my eglu sits in the middle. Now with all the space they've got I'm thinking of expanding and maybe buying a couple of new chickens. My question is if I add 2 more (same breed) how will the other 3 react? Will the accept the newbies or kick off? Just wondered what the best way of introducing new chickens to existing ones? Any advice/tips Thanks in advance Joe
Egluntyne
Articles on intros **here**. I'd suggest that you get an extesion on the run if they are confined to it for long peiods during the day, and that you borrow a separate coop for the intor period. joe14
Hi there Thanks for the quick reply. Space is not really an issue. They free range all day in an area of 27sq metres ish of ground so plenty of room. I'll get looking for some temporary accomodation and then give it a whirl......... Fingers crossed the fights will be few
