madchickenlady
My pekin girls moulted last october, as you'd expect. Up until a few weeks ago, they were all looking fab However, Maude, my two year old millefleur, has started looking a bit tatty (especially around her cushion). Picking her up just now, she gave me that very specific 'ow!' squeak, and I could feel the quills poking through. I'm on my own at the moment, so can't keep a hold of her and have a really good look. Do you suppose she's just moulting again? (the quills were felt on her tummy).
theherd123
It does sound/feel like she is growing new feathers doesnt it . Is she just quill-like on her tummy or does the run & eglu look like your chooks have had a pillow fight? Either way im sure she will be fine & make sure she is eating & drinking as normal
