Debby Tutton
My new girls have been with us for nearly a week now and they have made themselves nicely at home. I did think of lots of pretty names for them but as they all look the same they are now collectively known as the Poultry Spice Girls. It just got toooo complicated They are staying where they are for now but in 2 weeks we are letting them loose to truely free-range. Our farmer neighbour is delighted at the thought of our girls pecking around his organic plum trees. As plum farmers over here are no longer alowed to pick fruit from the ground we may have to limit their true free-ranging due to the risk of alcohol poisoning. As the heat sets in the smell can make us giddy let alone the girls so close to them. Little bit of concern when I found a little pile of very white bones in the run. We think it was a frog or toad as they congregate around the pool in the evenings (the frogs /toads not the girls) and the run is next to the pool so ... oh dear - not a nice thought (ah got the hang of this pikkie thing now ) Edited May 3, 2010 by Guest

Chucky Mama
Ours have been known to enjoy a game of frog rugby before the lucky winner gets to polish off the prize
Debby Tutton
Oh Please ! Way too much information ! I like frogs, they're cute (although noisy) and make the evening drinkies very calming. They also make enough noise to cover the rampant boar and deer (very scarey at times) at this time of year. I can't bear to think of my little ladies being so ... unladylike
