Honey is quiet - UPDATE

Recommended Posts

She got quite wet yesterday (stood in rain instead of sheltering in cube) although I made sure she dried off. She was very quiet tonight when I got in from work, sitting under cube and didn't want treats. She is not wheezy or sneezing and has laid today - I've popped her in the nest where she has stayed. Do chickens get over colds on their own? If she is not better I will see vet tomorrow. I still have antibiotics from Treacles cold  - there seem to be a lot of poorly chooks atm must be this cold weather after all the sun :?

She came out this am but is not interested in food - I made a mash but she wouldn't touch it, she's pecked the grass a bit but is still hunched up but can't see anything else wrong. She started laying on Saturday so maybe it's the shock. Any ideas appreciated :)

Honey has just been let out to fr and has been drinking from the dogs bowl for about 5 mins. Is this a sign of anything really bad? I posted yesterday about her looking off colour and she is still not eating :(

I've just been watching her and her neck is sort of hunched and her crop looks big although seemed empty this am, she is pecking the grass half heartedly.

Yes I'm hoping that is it, one of them laid a white egg today (normally brown) when I saw it I expected it to be a softie but the shell is normal.

Edited: She is back to normal self this evening, eating treats (had them in new girls run  ) and full of beans - really do think it was new egg shock :)
