My flock has taken to eating the hemcore in the Wir. Is this safe or can it cause crop problems?

 

They have 3 feeders to choose from and every morning I fill their hanging basket feeder with spring greens. They are free ranging for about 5 hours a day and get a hand full of corn between them in the evenings.

I wondered this too, I put a litter tray of aubiose in the Pekins run for them to kick about & they've all stuck their daft little beaks in & eaten some.....I removed it forthwith They have aubiose in the nestbox, though I don't know if they munch on that

 

I hope it doesn't caused crop problems, though logic says it would
