Busybird
We have been keeping chooks for well over two years now. We live by a wood and the girlies regularly find a way through our fence and go walkies, visit the neighbours... I have asked OH to chicken wire the gaps (quite a few times ) but he gave me that look that tells me I am fussing unnecessarily. Then last week I had a couple of days work so OH was at home and in charge of chooks and kids. He hasn't actually admitted to 'losing' the girls but, with no prompting, spent a good portion of Saturday and Sunday making our garden as secure as it can be I was even moved to show a small amount of sympathy when he complained of stung and scratched hands Now I can let the chooks free range our whole garden And I hope that they show their appreciation by not finding any new gaps

Aimee
Lucky you! I wish I could convince my OH to spur into action. Admittedly, he did put up the cube on Saturday ready for our new arrivals yesterday, however he refused to look at the instructions and consequently it took twice as long as it should have. I couldn't bring myself to show sympathy over cut and scratched hands at the time. Am thrilled with the cube result now though! Isn't it frustrating that they have to wait until something goes wrong before they act.
Torrin
Pleased he finally got it sorted busybird To get my OH to do any diy I have to do it first - badly cos I'm not very good at it - then he REdoes it cos he can't stand to look at wonky shelves / curtain poles / saggy cupboard doors
