The_smeeeths
Well guys we have had our ladies for one week now and they are doing fantastically well Unfortunately one of the ladies is not doing quite as well as the others...she is weaker and does look the worse for wear. She stands on her own with her eyes closed so not sure she is going to make it but we have our fingers crossed We have been getting about 3 eggs a day so that is amazing wasn't expecting to have any for a while! We have let them free range over the last couple of days..to be honest they haven't gone very far away from the run but when I was out hanging washing out they were clucking away and walking over to me sheepishly! So beautiful to see them laying on their sides with their wings spread...brings a lump to your throat! They do not have a clue how to use the drinking thing so we have had to lower it to allow them to dip in it! Any hints on how we can get them to use it correctly? Chucky Mama
My 4 hybrids don't like using the drinker. I now have it low enough for them to drink from the top but even now they prefer to drink out of a bucket or puddles
figarogir1
Mine dont like using the drinker either. I kept it high for a while but worried that they were not drinking enough so now have it lower so that they can drink from the top
poachedegg
We found with ours, that after a week or so the eggs stopped for a while whilst they refeathered and got their strength back. Hope your quiet one pulls through.
