francesca88
For the past week or so I have been woken up at around 4am by crowing quails!! They are currently in a two-level hutch, with 3 female and 1 male on the bottom half and 2 male and 2 female on the top. For the past few nights I have put the rain cover on the hutch back to front and this worked for one night - they did not crow until about 7am. I'm at my wit's end through lack of sleep and worrying that the neighbours will complain about them! I have even considered culling the males Does anyone have any ideas that I could try?? Thank you x
Egluntyne
Could you try shutting them in at night and covering the housing with black out curtaining, as some have found successful with chickens? ...... Assuming that you can get them in the Eglu or coop.
