henriette
A few weeks ago we went down the road to watch potatoes being planted. This is the machine they used Basically each planter has a sort of cog wheel in front of him /her with little cups on it and the potatoes are put into the cups and then go in the ground. The are then automatically covered up. Great fun to watch Had to edit this as the photos didn't come up - will try again Just realised that I couldn't even spell Brittany correctly and I live here so had to edit again So sorry! Unit
Looks rather precarious - but if it gets the job done...!?
theherd123
I bet your bum would hurt after an afternoon planting using that thing!!!
Lesley
It doesn't look too comfortable does it! The farmer who farmed the field at the back of the house where we used to live has one of those with just two seats - that was when I first realised I could earth up the potatoes as we planted them rather than wait until the leaves are showing.
