was wondering when you'd go broody again They're not auto sexing, but what about salmon faverolles? you'd know in 1 - 3 weeks if they were boys or girls, and if you were planning on keeping the boys for the table again, I've read that they are good to eat ( and the girls are sooo cuddly )

Thanks Tasha and Ali, LOL at me going broody again. She's been in the nest box all day whilst I've been at work as DH hadn't chucked her out! Am still pondering the idea.

I have photos taken at 2 weeks, but I was going to wait and post at 3 weeks. I'm hoping that in the next 2 days the black will disappear from Dilberts' wings and he'll magically turn into a girl Dilbert is what I've nicknamed the little one I helped to hatch. He's still alot smaller than the other 2 but his wings are 50% black, so I'm pretty certain he's a boy. Just my luck - when he was stumbling around not able to stand I didn't want to cull him incase he was a girl ! The other favvie chick is much bigger and 'her ' wings are mostly biscuit coloured, I'm really hoping I've got it right and she's a girl. Again, I'm delaying posting pics incase someone says ' 2 boys ' The silke is just a mess of tufty feathers sticking out at all angles , very cute.
