Are Lupin leaves poisonous

Recommended Posts

Went to bed wondering what this morning would hold, if the leaves would have a bad effect on the girls. Scoured the internet last night; yes, lupins contain toxins.....Don't know how I got to sleep.

Woke up with the dawn chorus this morning at 4.30 - looked outside, and I saw a sight that made me smile.

2 ginger lovelies rootling around in their run, looking for any stray treats they missed yesterday.

Went to let them out this morning at 6.30 - very vocal and looking very sexy in the sunlight - so to answer my own question, yes Lupins may be poisonous, but my girls are well and perky this morning...

So if your ladies eat them, don't worry.

Hope you all have a good day :dance::dance:

I think they are, I have read a post on here some where that lists all the poisonous plants. I hope that they are going to be ok.

Eeek - reading that list is scary - my girls regularly eat clover and cabbage, thankfully will no ill effect. It is a shame they don't have an inbuilt radar to let them know what is bad for them.
