ellewellyn
Hi, Next week (31st March onwards) a large battery farm in Sussex is being closed down and 13,500 chickens need new homes. If you have ever rehomed a rescue chicken you will know the satisfaction of seeing a poor sad featherless creature discovering for the first time what it is to be a happy hen! Please help!! The deadline is literally the end of March because the chickens that are not rescued by then will go to be slaughtered. Even if you can only take one or two we would like to hear from you. Please contact me via PM or forum e-mail. If you're not a forum member, you can e-mail Barbara@omlet.co.uk and she will pass on any messages to me. Thank you from the chickens. ubereglu
Have you contacted the Battery Hen Welfare Trust about this. They rehome loads of battery hens and I'm sure they'd be willing to give a hand. Their website is: www.thehenshouse.co.uk
