Blue-DiamondChick07
One of my Ex-Batts (Fanny) really doesn't like my 3 year old son, she keeps going to attack him, and today narrowly missed his eye! He did spook her when they first came home and I'm guessing shes afraid of him. I now can only FR my ex-Batts when my Son isnt in the garden, which isn't ideal this time of the year - will she eventually calm down? Any help appreciated
Ain't Nobody Here
Oh dear, sorry to hear that . It's tricky when it's a little one as they're not that much taller than a hen stretching up . If you both go up to her and if she crouches for you, get him to push his hand firmly down on her back as a sign of dominance. Also you could work on getting him to bribe her with tasty treats so she associates him with nice things. If he always uses a brightly coloured cup or container, she should recognise it eventually. When she's drowsy at bedtime you could try getting him to stroke her or even bringing her out of the eglu and sitting her on his lap (or your lap and he can stroke her).
