juliepops148
Hello forumers, Just a query about my girl Gertie who is looking very unwell and has been noticeable off colour for about 36-48hours now. She is hiding under a conifer in the garden currently, and repeating behaviour of last night. very quiet (unusual), fluffed up, straining, and with a bit of a dirty vent. Last night i picked her up and she seemed to have some kind of release of gas , followed by a soft egg with a curly string attached. Tonight she's doing the same thing, but with no gas escapes, and no soft egg. Not interested in food now though I saw her drinking this morning. Other forum topics would suggest immediate worming - any other ideas from out there? Thanks Julie
Porkypie
It could be another softie on the way. Sometimes they take a while to come - I've had one be like that overnight until it finally came out the next day. Keep a close eye in case it's something else. juliepops148
Thanks porkypie. I forgot to mention her tail is down as well - whether that makes any difference? Will keep a close eye out J
Chucky Mama
It sounds egg related rather than a worm issue. There could be another softie in the system or something else egg related. Have gentle feel around her back end to check for any overly hard or fluid filled swelling.
