Chickybocker Glory
Just got four beautiful Italian quails - one laid within 4 hours of arrival! They seem very happy in their green Eglu and run. However, have just ordered a different type of drinker to the one that Omlet supply, as I think it will blow away in a strong wind. Also, what type of feeders do other quail owners use? I have the galvanised chick feeder trough, but they climb all over it and poo in their feed.
Janty
I use these feeders for the quail http://www.flytesofancy.co.uk/chickenhouses/6kg_Blenheim_Feeder_with_Rainhat.html and I use rabbit water bottles for drinkers.
Chickybocker Glory
Thanks, looks good. Do you take the legs off? (The feeder, not the quail...)
Janty
I leave the legs on. It makes the feeder the perfect height for the quail.
