Snoxy
Hi Can anyone help please? Daphne one of my Columbine/Skylines lays gorgeous blue coloured eggs but within a day or two the shell looks blotchy...I have eaten them and they are perfectly fine Just wondering if any of you know why the shell has this blotchy look? Is it something to do with air? The blue colour is only on the surface which I have read is perfectly normal for blue shelled eggs laid by this hybrid...although Robyn's green eggs have shells that are green all the way through I would love to include one of Daphne's eggs in the boxes I give to friends but wouldn't like them to think there was anything wrong with them Thank you
Egluntyne
I find that the blue eggs fade, and one of my hen's eggs tend to look a bit 'marbled' after a day or two. No-one has ever turned them down though.
