Unsecure chicken perches

Hi all

 

First time I've tried loading a picture, so I hope it works.

 

Kimberley's eye yesterday had a little dark mark underneath, today it seems to have developed into a black eye.

 

Should I be worried? It doesn't seem to be bothering her, she's fine in herself and I'm thinking (read hoping) that it's a bit of dried blood from an over enthusiastic scratch.

 

Any thoughts from anyone?

Can't see anything to worry about from the photo, maybe it's just me but it looks normal

Perhaps she has been on the receiving end of a well aimed peck.

 

I can see some darkening, but maybe that is her natural pigmentation? There doesn't appear to be any swelling.

The dark bit at the back of her eye isn't normally there, I think you're right, she probably been pecked.

 

It's no worse today, so fingers crossed panic over.
