sarahs chucks
hello fellow omleteers am having a little rant have only in the last week plucked up the courage to clip my girls wings and free range them in the garden, my dog is kept in whilst girls are roaming. when last night freely enjoying the girls pecking around and next doors staffy some how got in to our garden.Husband manage to chase him out by ripping a hole in constuction orange fencing. After loosing a chicken last weekend we are quite protective of our chooks. Neighbours weren't interested so today my husband and i have spent all day putting up new fences to keep him out so the girls can come back out. So was just wondering who is responsable for keeping this dog out???? Is it up to us to keep him out or up to them to keep him in. Have a dog ourselves and he has never got out. thanks
Redwing
There is some info here http://www.defra.gov.uk/wildlife-pets/pets/dangerous/#3 Regardless of what your neighbour does or does not do its probably a good idea for you to take control of the situation by taking steps to keep the dog out yourselves
Space Chick
My neighbours dog is like houdini and breaks into our garden periodically, and I have taken the steps myself to keep him out. Ultimately, even though morally it should be my neighbours responsibility, it is my duty to keep my girls safe
