Hi All

 

Just had hatch 4 welsummers at the weekend and i understand after some reading that you can tell the sex of the chicks by the stripe they have down their head and back to tell whether it a boy or a girl. Well i think i have 3 girls because they look the same with stripe and the eye stripe looks the same but I'm querying the other 1, it has a stripe but lighter and the eye line/stripe is only small.

Also, i checked mum and she has some lice, so could i dust her with DE or dust the bedding or both because i don't want to harm the chicks if it's not safe for them (no i wasn't going to dust them) but i don't want them to die if they get infested
