Poorly chicken

I'm considering buying a large chicken drinker as I have to cart water up and down every day to the hen house. How do they work? Are they easy to fill? Are they robust?

I use these and can highly recommend them. They're just big enough at 4l to save the water-lugging too often, but not too heavy to lift and carry. They've survived a couple of freezing winters and scrub up as good as new. I have (or should say had til the other day when the gales blew a fence over and smashed it) the 8l version, which was too heavy to be comfortable.

There's a review of feeders and drinkers by Terry Beebe n this month's Practical Poultry. The green-based ones like the one linked to above score 23/25, and come out top.

Thanks for that . . will be purchasing as my chooks really hate their super glugs and would rather drink dirty puddles than fresh water!!

I can highly recommend Regency Poultry (Terry Beebe). I ordered a load of stuff on Wednesday and it arrived on Friday in perfect condition. 10/10 from me
