melissa_k
Hello, hope im posting in the right place, am so glad i found this site! I am a new mum to 2 baby amberlinks (nearly 4 weeks old) they are currently living in our bedroom, we have them in a good sized strong secure cardboard box, and they seem to be very content (happily chirping and singing away) and quite friendly, have got them eating from my hand already, absolutely love them to bits (as do the kids) very cute indeed! Am keeping their "home" as clean and dry as i can - they can poop alot cant they?? lol! also food and clean water always being available, just after some reassurance really that im doing everything by the book, done plently of reaseach before we brought them home, and am still going lol, have been looking at coops and was going to go with a nice sized wooden box and walk in run, but then have been reading alot about foxes and to be honest it has scared the bejesus out of me, so now am looking at the "iglu`s" and the foxwatchers, also even thinking about concrete slabs around the outside of the run aswell lol, am determined to make my feather babies as safe as i possibly can, what do you think?? Bear in mind we are living on a farm, but we do have our own private garden (the iglu would literally be right outside my frontroom window) I just want to do my best to be honest! Although there are farm chickens around where we live, i have never seen or heard anything of a fox, but obviously i know their about So a big hello to you all, look forward to chatting with you and browsing some more of the site
Mollie333
Hi Melissa! Congratulations on the new chickens, hope they are settling in. I've heard both good and bad things coming from the FoxWatch. Some say it doesn't even work, and turns off (we can't hear it?) Eglu's are brilliant. Goodluck any questions dont hesitate to ask x
