Lesley
I've grown yellow ones and pale green ones specifically so I don't miss any but I forgot that I'd planted some in a galvanised tank - I now have 3 yellow 'marrows' to deal with ...........I think cake may be the way to go! chickencam
I made the chocolate version on Monday of Nigella's recipe that was originally posted by Mrs Frugal a few years ago. I had forgotten how nice they are made into muffins with big chocolate chunks in. I used a marrow sized courgette that was picked a couple of weeks back, I thought that the flesh might be a tad too dry, but it worked a treat better than with the fresh juicy ones. I have found that these large courgettes keep for a few weeks stored in a cool dry place, I always used to try to cram them into my fridge and have lost a few over the years when they have toushed the back and partially frozen.
