coco
I am off work the week after next and was thinking about letting my two new girls FR with the others, supervised of course, this is providing that they are both completely over their colds. They will have been livng in sight of each other for 3 weeks and the old girls have FR around the new girls run for two weeks. Flora the light sussex will be 19 weeks by then so I'm sure she will be fine but I'm not so sure about Fleur the welsummer as she will be sixteen weeks. Is she still too young to mix with the older hens.
Egluntyne
You can only try. Supervise all the time, and provide a few refuges, such as evergreen branches for the little one to hide in, and put out several food and drink stations - all these things will help a bit. Have the hosepipe primed to blast any really naughty hens.
Guest
if the new and old girls are used to the sight of each other then you should be fine. As has been said, just keep an eye on them. You'll probably find, because of the large area they'll hve to roam in, that they might potter around in their own little groups but they should be fine. Our new mob were out with our old mob today and everything was tickety boo
